William Evans - CTO
I'm a multidisciplined Nerd, fascinated by maths, sci-fi, science, gaming, music (especially the heavy stuff), and philosophy. I live in London with my wife Vicki and son Sam. I love working with others to solve challenging problems, and am at my best when facing these head on.
I'm always keen to understand what happening around me and lean into process and reporting as a tool to get the best out of myself and those around me.
When I'm relaxing, I'm either gaming, playing music, or just chilling with the family.
Roles:

Personal Values
Equality - Everyone should get a fair shake of the stick, and everyone has value to add. I get incredibly frustrated when I feel someone is not getting heard or is not given the same opportunity as others. This works both ways, if someone remains quiet and doesn't take their chance to contribute, I feel equally frustrated. I strive to create an environment where we are all on an equal footing.
Trust - I'm like a dog, I'll trust you with my life and soul until that trust is broken. It's hard to repair once that has happened. I expect no less from others and myself and strive to always stay true to my word.
Attention to detail - The devil is in the detail, and I'm an exorcist. I love getting into the detail, interactions, and impacts of anything I do. I'll happily keep zooming in on a subject, and experimenting with different approaches and solutions.
Achilles heels
Pedantic - Calling this section "Achilles heels" actually stresses me out. I can be very black and white and think like a logic engine. Things are true or false and I can miss the bigger picture at times.
Blunt - I'll often say what I'm thinking with little filter. I like things to be straight forward and fluffing things up can make me frustrated.
Chaotic environments - I'm better when focusing on one thing at a time. A long to do list and lots of distractions will cause me to procrastinate and prevent me from getting into the zone.
How to get the best out of me
Be direct - Don't beat around the bush and get to the point.
Be clear - Similar to the above, mixed messages and lack of clarity will often cause me to disregard information.
Chase me - I work best when under moderate pressure, but can lose track of what needs to get done. Don't be polite, I like a deadline, push me. I'll let you know if (politely) if it can't be done.
