Clive Nyawo - Solutions Engineer
I’m a people-first Solutions Engineer and volunteer leader who finds joy in connecting ideas, elevating experiences, and creating long-lasting impact. Whether that’s through crafting smart technology solutions, mentoring young people, or running world-class events. I’ve spent over a decade volunteering across industries, from nonprofits to global conferences, and I see service not just as an act, but a calling.
When I’m not building client relationships or coordinating logistics, I’m probably planning our next adventure with my wife, learning a new language, writing my next book, lifting weights at the gym, or stepping in front of the camera for a shoot.

Personal Values
Intentionality – I believe in showing up on purpose, for a purpose. Whether it’s preparing for a client call or supporting someone behind the scenes, I approach every moment with care. Once, while coordinating 100+ volunteers for an international HR conference, I made sure each person received a personalised message before the event kicked off not because I had to, but because I wanted them to feel seen. I think intention shapes experience.
Gratitude in Service – Service has taught me humility. I’ve swept floors after fancy events, stayed up till 3 a.m. fixing PowerPoint decks for guest speakers, and fundraised in the freezing cold for causes I believe in. These aren't just tasks, they're opportunities. Being of service grounds me. It reminds me that we’re all part of something bigger.
Positive Presence – I believe in showing up with energy that lifts the room. Whether I’m hosting a team, leading an event, or catching up with a friend, I try to bring calm confidence, humour, and encouragement. I’ve learned that a smile, a listening ear, or just the right comment at the right time can shift someone’s whole day and that’s something I don’t take lightly.
Achilles Heels
Pacing Myself – I move at 100mph when I’m passionate. Whether I’m launching an initiative, mentoring a young volunteer, or pushing for a tighter deadline (I go all in). But sometimes, that fire comes at a cost. I've found myself skipping meals or postponing rest just to "finish one more thing." I’m learning that slowing down is also a form of wisdom.
Over-functioning in Silence – I’m used to being the “reliable one.” The one people lean on, especially during crunch time. But there are moments I’ve struggled to ask for help, thinking I had to carry it all. During a major event last year, I was juggling three roles, and instead of delegating, I internalised the stress. I powered through, but it taught me the importance of vulnerability, especially when the stakes are high.
Letting Go of the Outcome – As someone who thrives on impact, I sometimes hold on too tightly to how things should go. Whether it’s a product rollout or a community event, I’ve had to learn that not everything will be perfect and that’s okay. There’s growth in surrender too.
How to Get the Best Out of Me
Give me autonomy with a clear ‘why’ – I do my best work when I understand the purpose behind a task. Let me know the “why,” and I’ll figure out the “how” creatively, passionately, and quickly.
Create space for real talk – I thrive in environments where authenticity is encouraged. If there’s space to be honest, ask hard questions, and laugh in between, I’ll show up fully.
Use me as a connector – Whether it's between clients, teams, or ideas, connecting dots is my superpower. I love bringing people together in ways that create value on every level.
