Frédéric Zingg - Data / API / Solutions Engineer

Last updated 2 months ago

Hey, I'm Fred 🤗 Senior Computing Engineer, I am dedicated to building complex systems and exploring the latest technological advancements in this field.

My life has been guided by learning and experimenting with various language domains: computing, mathematics, and natural language. With the emergence of LLM technologies and concepts, bridging these domains has become a natural passion.

Team Member of

Personal Values

  • Lifelong Learning – I thrive when I’m constantly expanding my knowledge and skills. Whether it’s through hands-on experience, tackling new challenges, or deep diving into a topic, I’m always looking for ways to grow.

  • Intellectual Curiosity – I pick up new concepts quickly (generally!) and enjoy solving complex problems. I love connecting the dots between ideas and applying what I’ve learned to create better solutions.

  • Patience and capitalization – Building a personal and collective knowledge base, establishing lasting connections and trust.

Achilles heels

  • Marketing Concepts Understanding – Humans express themselves through concepts. And one of the powers of this faculty is to accumulate concepts layer upon layer.

In the field of computer engineering, in particular, with its importance and complexity in our contemporary world, marketing terms are among the last concepts stacked. This can often lead to discussions that are difficult to unravel when too many marketing or product terms obscure underlying technical concepts.

Translating these discussions to extract a technically understandable schema can sometimes baffle me. But the pleasure of finally realizing that these were, from my perspective, simple and well-known concepts is very appreciable.

How to get the best out of me

  • Let Me Get into Deep Focus – I work best when I can fully immerse myself in a task without constant interruptions. If I have a small number of high-priority projects and the space to focus, I can produce my best work.

  • Give Me Something to Learn – If I’m learning something new or building a skill, I’m far more engaged and productive. I appreciate opportunities where I can apply new knowledge in real time.

  • Leverage My Competitive Streak – I’m motivated by challenges and opportunities to push myself. Whether it’s improving a process or surpassing previous goals, a bit of competition helps me stay focused and perform at my best.
